Most expats and travelers check out these 5 sources when they want to know what's happening.
Read information about what
• the real estate market is like and what is selling
• the political scene is like in Thailand and if it's safe to travel
• certain activities or events that you might want to check out
• and more...
So what would be a good place to start?
That depends on what you want.
The most informative newsreel I've found are:
Pattaya People: Another popular newspaper both online and offline. You get information also of back home as well. It's more popular for offering advice in video form. So if you prefer to watch your news while doing other things - this one is better. The only drawback is that the site too cluttered for navigating.
Pattaya Blatt: Get Pattaya news in German if you'd like. One of the most informative sites for German speakers.
Thai Rath (which means 'State') Newspaper is the most popular and oldest daily newspaper in Bangkok, Thailand. This tabloid newspaper also covers
• local news
• sports
• business
• classifieds
• entertainment,
• community events
Thai Rath also has a web site and can be read online. The Thai Rath has been founded in 1962 by Khun Kampol Watcharapol and has grown into one of the largest circulation newspapers distributed throughout Thailand. The daily circulation is well over 1 million.
The Thai Rath is not available in foreign languages
Of course the best source is the location itself. Get the quickest updates about Pattaya by living here. Do you have a place booked up yet? Check out Expat Condos and explore the different condo options they have for you to stay at for when you come.
In any case - have a fun time here!
